Alex Jenkins & the bombers is an Americana
/ Roots band with a heavy blues edge. The bands compositions is contemporary music that incorporates elements of
various American roots music styles, including country, roots-rock, folk,
bluegrass, R&B and blues, resulting in a distinctive roots-oriented sound
that lives in a world apart from the pure forms of the genres upon which it may
draw. A power trio that puts out a big sound! The group’s style has been
described as having a Fabulous Thunderbird feel to a Jimmy Reed and early Sun
records recording artists feel. Being at
the prime age of 66 the band is lead by Alex Jenkins on guitar and lead vocals.
On drums and vocals features 54 year old brother Tim Jenkins. Rounding out the
band on bass guitar is 27 year old Mike Crisp who brings a young fresh approach
to the music. The band has
many Years combined playing experience and have performed at several venues
with some of the biggest names in blues music. The bands 2014 current
release, “Voodoo You” has gotten good reviews and is being played on radio
stations worldwide while gaining new fans daily. The bands first release “Creepin
after Midnight” was a breakout CD and both CD’s feature all original songs. The best way to experience the band is to catch one of
